Day 12 and 13: Universal Studio and Pacific Highway Drive to San Diego

Wednesday we spend the whole day in Universal Studio - great to see it again. Obviously with many new attractions and improvements. The girls loved it - their favourite was the Harry Potter ride. The Studio Tour was also fun with some wild new 3D effects. They still do the Jews stunt similar to about 30 years ago. Due to their 75th anniversary, we were able to get off the bus for some fun activities. We were definitely tired after an intensive day where we tried and saw (almost) everything.

This morning (Thursday) we drove from LA to San Diego, where we will stay for the remain days till Sunday. We took the scenic route - ie the Pacific/ Coastal Highway and stopped at several of the coastal towns and beaches: Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport / Balboa Beach, Laguna Beach (our favourite), Capistrano Beach and Oceanside / Calsbad. Similar to LA, the traffic was pretty crazy when we arrived to San Diego during the rush hour time late afternoon. Looking forward to the final relaxing days here.
